There are several types of ch\u00e2teaux in the Lot<\/strong>.\nThere are those that have been perfectly preserved as tourist attractions.\nSuch is the case of Ch\u00e2teau de Castelnau-Bretenoux<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Situated at the end of a rocky plateau, it was a fortified residence built in the 11th century.\nIt was home to several great families, including the de Clermont-Lod\u00e8ve family in 1530.\nIt is a magnificent example ofmedieval military architecture<\/strong>.\nAdmission is 8 euros for adults and 6.50 euros per person for groups. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ch\u00e2teau de Saignes<\/strong> was built in the 16th century on the initiative of Fran\u00e7ois 1st’s ambassador, Pierre IV de la Garde de Saignes.\nIt houses an emblematic medieval master-tower, as well as a Renaissance dwelling.\nAnd that’s not counting its magnificent gardens.\nNestled against the cliffs in the heart of the Lot valley<\/strong>, Ch\u00e2teau de C\u00e9nevi\u00e8res<\/strong> was built in 1585.\nIt’s an architectural gem<\/strong> in the Parc Naturel R\u00e9gional des Causses du Quercy<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
