The Lot department offers a via ferrata in the heart of the Célé Valley. Funded by the European Union, the via ferrata offers you a thrilling experience between rock and river. Leaving from Le Liauzu, you have free access to this activity in an exceptional natural setting near the Célé river, much sought-after for its fishing spots. Climb the cliffs at your own pace and discover the bounty of unspoilt nature. In fact, you’ll be treated to postcard-worthy views from two aerial passages: the Ermite footbridge (54 m) and the Hirondelles Nepalese bridge (29 m). You can also practice via ferrata in the Lot valley, following two self-guided routes.
Parcours Perce Pierre, via ferrata in the Lot for novices
This via ferrata route in the Lot region is ideal for beginners. The route is not very difficult and is 210 m long. The approximate duration of this cliff adventure is 1 h 30. During this experience, always follow the directions of the route. Avoid going off the marked paths.
Dièdre Blanc course, adrenaline-pumping thrills
A cross between climbing and hiking, this discipline is also a challenge for the most seasoned climbers. The Dièdre Blanc route is ideal for this type of climber. This via ferrata route in the Lot is much more difficult than the Perce Pierre route. It takes between 2 hours 30 minutes and 3 hours to complete this 500-metre challenge. This open-access route features two footbridges over the void, offering extreme sensations.


What you need to know before taking to the skies

It’s also a good idea to choose yourroute according to your physical abilities.
If this is your first via ferrata experience in the Lot, it’s best to be accompanied by a professional.
Avoid venturing out in bad weather or when there’s a risk of thunderstorms.
Please note that this discipline is reserved for people weighing over 40 kg and measuring over 130 cm.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult during this experience.
